Why we started our business
Since I started my business as an entrepreneur, I’ve often asked myself, Why do people choose us? There are thousands of companies around the world offering textile products , why us?
To find the answer, I began visiting customers and soon discovered two key reasons: passion and empathy.
When you truly love what you do, it shows. I’ve met customers who have enough success to retire comfortably, yet continue working simply because they enjoy what they do. Their hard work is not just about business — it’s an expression of their passion, and their success naturally follows.
At the same time, I’ve also seen how people struggle — poor service, large factory MOQs, limited options, and great ideas that never come to life.
These challenges gave us opportunities to help customers overcome their difficulties and realize their own passion for textiles, one small detail at a time. And here we are, ten years later. We’re still here because of those same two values — passion and empathy.
The difference is that what began as just me in 2015 has now grown into a team of 23 dedicated people at Startex, all driven by the same belief.
Our History
Established in 2015, Startex is a fabric mill based in China, specializing in the production of high-quality window covering fabrics.
Strategically situated in the textile hub of Shaoxing, our operations benefit from seamless access to the primary textile supply chain in the region.
At Startex, our core expertise lies in the meticulous crafting of fabrics tailored for roller shades, blackout draperies, and sheer draperies.
Backed by a team of seasoned professionals with extensive backgrounds in fabric weaving, dyeing, and coating industries, we have cultivated strategic partnerships with reputable suppliers to guarantee impeccable quality standards.
Today, Startex prides itself on its dynamic workforce comprising 23 dedicated individuals, operations from two offices and a 3400 square meters warehouse facility. In a bid to elevate efficiency and ensure stringent quality control measures, we have developed a proprietary ERP system to document the inspection records of both base and coated fabrics.
With an extensive inventory over 285 SKUs of roller fabrics for expedited deliveries and more than 580 SKUs of sheer and drapery fabrics, Startex empowers clients with competitive minimum order quantities (MOQs) to expedite product introductions without the burden of excessive inventory.
